I love the movement, Anne, and especially the shoes of the guy on the right! I often dread having to compose a piece, and then afterwards I realize that I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I think we have to tell ourselves that the “planning stage” is every bit as important as the “execution” phase, it just feels as if we aren’t making any progress. Just thinking about drawing a subject is excellent practice; after all, it is in our minds that the pieces are made, and the paintings are just a ballpark representation of what we were thinking.
