2023 in Pisticci….guess who’s back…..

I was upstairs when I heard a scratching noise at the window. I peered over the balcony and there was a little white fluffy face looking up at me.

I rushed downstairs and let her in , before she ripped more of my net curtains by climbing up them.

I didn’t know if she’d come back.

I might have been more pleased to see her than she was me, but now life is back to normal.

I think I would have missed her………

Luckily I bought more cat food today.

This morning started with sunshine and an interesting breakfast.

First there was boiled egg mixed with mayonnaise, ( was last day before egg was past its sell by date) Next, reheated pizza ( couldn’t eat it all at pizzeria last night.) And finally my 5 big homegrown strawberries and a triangle of cream cheese.

The only downside was when about to have a second coffee the milk had gone all lumpy…..so only one coffee today.

Delicious.

After shopping this morning I thought that I’d better change over my wardrobe from winter to summer. It is now about 25C.

It took me about 4 hours. I have too many clothes…..but I’m worried that everything will get expensive and I won’t ever be able to buy any more and so I don’t throw anything out because I might need it in the future. From previous experience I’ll probably wear the same 3 outfits all summer.

However I managed to fill one small bin bag with things which I won’t ever use ….even for patches.

Last year my throwing out bag got smaller and smaller before I eventually put it out as I retrieved things from it just incase.

I have the idea that I’ll make a rag rug, or recycle clothes into handbags, cut them up into rags for painting, or make a fantastic patchwork quilt… or even make collaged art works with material.

However at least all my summer clothes are in the wardrobe and my winter ones are in various places around the house only accessible by a ladder.

There was a bit of a storm this afternoon, but it’s cleared up now.

My flowers are looking lovely.

The flower heads are so big this year.
I love poppies .
First oleander flowers
I’ve no idea what the spearlike thing is.

It’s warm enough to still have the door open at 6.30pm. I laid my woolly hat away today. Hopefully I won’t need it again until December.

Now it’s time to relax , have a glass of wine, enjoy being on holiday and maybe find something interesting to watch on youtube.

Cheers🍷🍷
