I’m not having a proper weekend as I’ll be working tomorrow.

I thought that as I was going to Scanzano market today I could pretend it was Saturday, but it’s not really working.

The market was fun as usual….and despite having too many clothes I bought a tye dyed dress and a tee shirt with flowers on it. ( from my favourite €2 secondhand stall….)

Then I spent nearly €50 in the nearby supermarket, on big and heavy things as I was getting a lift right to my door.

Back home with full cupboards and fridge I looked for reference photos to use in the mural.

I’m painting fake shutters on 2 windows , as well as an olive tree and 2 small potted trees.

I’m most bothered about the shutters and making 4 all the same size. I thought I was very clever when I decided to measure the real windows and make the shutters a size that would fit.

I forsee a lot of measuring, some bad language, and hair pulling……but I expect eventually it will all work out. If I get everything drawn tomorrow I’ll be satisfied.

I still have my rucksack to pack , but I thought I’d get up early and do it then. It’s the thinking and planning that really takes time.

My strange spear plant has flowered and looks exactly like my neighbours.

Now I plan to relax and drink wine and not think about murals.
