There was plenty of time to get my ” muralling ” rucksack packed this morning before setting off at 9am.
Obviously the first thing to go in was chocolate….and my plan.

I’m adding features to a little house. Such as green shutters, an olive tree and and 2 small potted trees. I’m not sure what the definition of a mural is, but this suits me very well. I like making fake things. My house is full of them.

Wearing my sentimental patched jeans and an old paint spattered tee shirt I thought that I looked the part .

My biggest worry today was measuring and making straight lines. I feel it’s necessary for all the shutters to look the same.
I even found a piece of string to which I attached a big tube of paint to serve as a plumb line. I was quite pleased to have thought of that. ( it worked.)
I’m happy to say that after several changes of plan, some careful measuring and some stressful long division I have drawn 4 shutters which are all more or less the same size.
I also drew the shape of the olive tree.
I used a pastel pencil to draw everything and then painted over the lines so that my ” bonny measurements” wouldn’t get washed off in the next shower of rain.
It is all looking good.
I got home about 1pm. After 3 or 4 hours work I get messy so it’s better to stop.
I’ve had a nice relaxing afternoon with time to admire my little garden.

I’m going back to ” muralling ” on Monday so tomorrow I might just paint something for myself.
Now it’s time for wine.
Cheers š·š·
