But, after tomorrow when it’s forecast to rain all day long it looks like ” proper” summer weather is coming.

So unless the forecast is very wrong I won’t be muralling tomorrow.

Today started nicely with breakfast outside where I had to check my diary and organise a catch up at the weekend with all the things I’ve been too tired to do this week.

Setting off for work at 8am was good as it’s quite warm in the mornings.

My plan was to paint the olive tree today , and in the process disguise the stove pipe.

My home made brush is now nicely wrecked and worked much better. Yesterday it was too neat. I’m very pleased with the result and mostly without climbing a ladder.

My next job was to paint the tree trunk and hide the stove pipe. I painted some leaves on the top and a few crossover branches down below, but tried to leave most of it unpainted.

I had a lot of fun using different colours on the trunk.

I’m surprised by how good it looks.

On Friday the plan is to paint the orange and lemon trees in pots on either side of the door. And possibly tidy up a few bits and pieces.

Then I want to have the weekend off, before varnishing everything on Monday.

There was time to go to supermarket this afternoon and on the way back I took a photo of a shop window. I think most of the things for sale are handmade. Definitely the bikini is. I saw it being made.

Now I’m having a glass of wine while I wait for a friend to arrive.

It’s raining.
