Today the forecast was for rain all day so I planned to stay at home and work on a small commission.

However things didn’t go according to plan.

Firstly it didn’t rain at all in the morning  so I could have been out mural painting.

Then I eventually gave up on the commission which was something I’d never done before and won’t be doing again.

I thought it might be about time to enquire about a pension again after having learned that looking after children counted as work. Gave myself credit for trying , but don’t think I’m any further forward.

Then the rain started and it was the heaviest there has been so far.

I’m optimistically thinking that it was the last as I don’t think there is any more forecast for the next 10 days at least.

It got cold and a bit depressing inside so I turned on my twinkly lights to cheer things up.

A video call with my daughter in Scotland where the sky is completely blue made my day. Scotland deserves some good weather…….and it will get better here…..sometime.!

Now it’s wine time. Hurray!!
