I didn’t even take a photo of the little house today as all I did was paint a matt varnish over all the painted bits. Using a water based varnish makes everything very easy .

As I didn’t start work till after 9.30am I had plenty of time to sit outside and enjoy the morning.

I even had time to try out a few ideas to upgrade my floor. I’m thinking of sponging it and then varnishing it. After having bought paint which was supposed to be really hard-wearing and isn’t, then I may as well spend an hour or so every year revarnishing a paint effect.

I haven’t done much else today.

I decided to get Netflix 2 nights ago after getting very bored watching repeats of Location, location,location. When I discovered that it would cost about €5.50 monthly and I had just paid €4.99 for one Commissario Brunetti book on kindle it seemed like a very good idea. Also despite sending the correct form by registered post to say I don’t have a TV I’m having to pay for a TV licence along with my electric bill.

I’m really enjoying Frankie and Grace.

Tomorrow morning I’m planning to get out early and paint a red flower in a pot near my door and then I’m considering having a lemon and orange tree on either side of my other door.

After that I might think about starting on the floor.. ….

I’m all prepared to sleep downstairs tonight as the temperature has risen to 30C.

But now it’s wine time.
