Since I moved from the attic to the gallery I’ve not slept well. But last night was ridiculous.
First of all there was the spaceship on the ceiling.

It was the shadow cast by my fan. And it looked much more impressive in real life.
It’s cool in the gallery because it’s partly underground and there are 2 apartments above.
But I was wide awake and no matter how much I read I couldn’t fall asleep.
I got up and made a cheese and biscuit sandwich. Some times food helps.
Then I discovered I had a wobbly bit of tooth. I removed it with tweezers and took 2 paracetamols.
An hour later I had a cold shower.
Then I made some camomile tea.
After that I decided that my cover was too big and my restless legs, which I had treated with Biofreeze, were getting tangled up in it, so I got up and carefully cut it in half.
Then I ate a cheese triangle.
At some point I moved the rug because I thought it smelled.
I think that I fell asleep about 3am.
I woke up at quarter past six .
Last night I had gone out and painted the lemon tree about 8pm . It needed a few finishing touches, so I did that before breakfast.

I went out briefly to help someone with a painting and was back home by 11am.
Since then I’ve done very little except read and check my phone to see what’s happening in Russia.
I did paint the bottom of my outside door with the rubbishy white paint. It really is no good. Even stirred and shaken it’s lumpy and smells bad. I definitely ought to throw it out….if I can work out how to get rid of it. But ….maybe it would be useful for something.
There is a storm forecast tonight, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Though it is quite windy.
Tomorrow I plan to varnish all the flowers etc that I’ve painted this week. And I should really paint something sellable.
But now it’s wine time.
Cheers🍷🍷
