2023 in Pisticci….a little more sewing and sea.

It was good to sit outside and drink coffee amongst  the flowers this morning.

I had more or less decided that I needed to fix the sea in my latest painting. So I watched a couple of videos and went for it.

Then just out of curiosity  I tried the painting in a nice old frame.

Sea is definitely  better.

As usual it took longer than I expected.

I wanted to have a relaxing Sunday,  but I was aware that I had clients dropping in late afternoon.

My stripey transparent dungarees were just  hanging around so I sewed a denim patch on one of the pockets. Then I was inspired to paint a rose on the other pocket.

A good enough rose.

Then , as I was passing the time waiting for clients to arrive I had another idea…….I would make denim pockets for the back of the dungarees.

These were the sleeves I cut off the previous dungarees.( It’s definitely becoming a dungaree summer)

I’ve half way sewed on the first pocket. It looks good.

And then my visitors arrived. Now I have a new commission. Along with finishing the mural that should keep me occupied until the end of July.

Now it’s time to relax with a glass of wine. The sun is shining , the door is open and church bells are ringing.

Cheers🍷🍷
