There was a corner which needed cheering up and soon there will be an orange tree in a nice shiny blue flower pot.

I am lucky to have such a nice job.

Even on a hot day ( 40C) I was mostly in the shade and it was very pleasant. I started  work before 9am and finished before midday.

I had thought that I might start painting my next commission,  but it was more fun chatting to my daughter on the phone this afternoon.

I’m going on a holiday with her in October and we were checking out train timetables etc. It’s  quite exciting.

My door is still closed as outside the wind is warm and would be blowing heat in.

However I have a big fan and a little one so am comfortable despite the temperature  on the thermometer in the corner saying that it’s about 31C inside.

This is the warmest part of the day.

It might be the warmest week of the year as it’s  to get even hotter

I think I’m drinking at least 3 litres of water every day.

My plants are ” drinking ” considerably  more.

I might watch some videos on painting oranges tonight .. ..or not.

But in the meantime a glass of wine would be nice.
