I was sitting thinking about ordering more paint when I heard a strange noise.

Opening the door, revealed great big drops of rain falling from a blue and relatively cloudless sky. That was followed  by thunder and lightening…..still with a nice blue sky.

It’s stopped now and there is a slight wind.

I’ve been smelling smoke all afternoon , but couldn’t see a fire anywhere. Hopefully the rain has put out any that were burning.

This morning I was back at the mural at 7am.

Tomorrow I want to paint the wooden structure.

It was beautifully cool and in the shade with a breeze until about 11am .

This afternoon I finished the church commission. There wasn’t much to do, but I feel like I’ve done my best.

The panels I did for the feste carriage in Marconia should be collected tonight.

Now it’s wine time and soon it’ll be the weekend. If I have time I’d like to finish the feste painting I began on Sunday before then. That would be a good weeks work.

Despite , the cricket! It was still going strong last night.
