I was just pulling my mattress out and planning to sleep in my relatively cool gallery…..when from the corner sounded the” beep beep “.

It’s called a “grillo” in Italian and having its noisy company may mean that I will be lucky in love. I’d rather have peace and quiet.

So I’m sleeping in the hot room ( 32C) with 2 fans full on. To be honest, it could be worse. I am sleeping after all.

I was planning to have a nice relaxing Saturday , but it’s difficult to relax.

So I finished the souvenir festa painting before I went shopping.

Went off to the farmacia. It was closed until the first of September. Oops! So I went to the other one , but couldn’t remember exactly what my prescription is.

By the time I returned home carrying shopping it was quite hot.

I bought another Inspector Brunetti book. It has definitely been a ” Brunetti.” summer.

In between reading I downloaded lots of photos of different coloured poppies.

Then I tried painting on velvet.

After that I watched a video on using a large eraser to make a stamp for printing and ordered more paint online for my mural.

Went out to buy a big eraser , but there were none. However have now got my correct pills.

Now I’m glad to be home .

Only one more hot day and the temperature should drop. It is apparently a record temperature for Pisticci at this time of August.

Wine time at last. Been a satisfactory day.
