2023 in Pisticci…and the wind is still blowing away the summer…..

Every year it’s like this. I forget what it feels like to be cold.

And by most standards it isn’t cold. After all it’s about 28C.

However this morning it was cloudy and dull. And my feet were cold when I was painting. I had my shirt buttoned right up.

It was fine after a while and I stopped before the wind got going again.

Imagine having that view from work. My job is amazing.
Forgot to take a photo before I began so I had painted the sky. ( a lot of masking tape was used. )
Progress so far.

People have stopped by to say “hello”, but today one person came right over and touched the bricks to see if they were real. I took that as a massive compliment.

( thanks to youtube and a sponge.)

Last night on my way to the pizzeria I went through the corso margherita and some of the light decorations were lit up. There must have been another event. It could have been something to do with the black Madonna. Though I haven’t seen anything on facebook .

Am sorry to say that I often lie in bed and watch events happening live 10 minutes away.

Last night in the piazza.

This afternoon has been a bit here and there…..

I booked a trip on the last Ryanair flight this year to Edinburgh from Bari.

Coming back is a little tricky since I have decided I’m not getting up at 3am and travelling all day.

I can fly direct to Rome , but it means staying overnight which adds considerably to the cost so I’m still thinking.

The painting of the view from my table up to the castle is sold. That is the second Sunday painting to sell which is very affirming. Sunday paintings are all about subjects I want to paint for myself. Nice to know other people like them too.

My “bin” bill arrived today. (Paid all of it , though I could have paid it in installments up to the end of December. )

The butcher’s shop where I buy my wine is closed for a holiday until the 5th, but after a quick check in the fridge I have enough to last. That’s not counting the home made wine which I am keeping for a special occasion……..like the weekend.

Now it’s wine time and I just realised that I haven’t had a fan on all day.

Cheers🍷🍷
