Today I put coffee in a flask and took it with me to work. Sitting, looking out over the calanche and drinking coffee is a good way to start the day.

I had a shorter time working on the mural today as I’m waiting for new paint colours to arrive.

So I drew a lot of poppies and flowers in both pots. The poppies will be all different colours. I thought that it was probably a good idea to paint them all white(ish) so that it’ll be easier to make bright colours. Once I’ve painted all the colours I’ll see if I need to do more flowers.

I waited most of the day for the new paint to arrive……then got a message to say there was a problem. I was quite disappointed. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

One of the little things today was looking out the door and seeing a friendly bin man. For no reason my rubbish has not been collected for about 3 weeks. It’s very strange. However this cheerful bin man was taking the plastic refuse today so I asked him why no one had collected the other stuff. He said that the other stuff would be picked up tomorrow. ( fingers crossed) Have been known to cheer and dance when my bins are emptied.

Another little thing was that I eventually found some affordable rubbery stuff on Amazon to use to make stamps. They are to be used on the mural.

And the cricket is no more. I won’t go into details ,but quite by chance I found it . It’s now somewhere in the valley.

I’ve got strawberries.

Because I changed the art lesson to Thursday the weekend starts now.
