I was awake and ready in plenty of time to start work on the mural at 7am. I got on with painting a first coat on all the flowers and then adding some more foliage. I think it all needs a little more connection as the flowers look a little too random. Maybe they’ll look different with some detail.

When I got home I made another tray of Parmigiano a melanzane. Not that there is parmigiano in it. I found grated pecorino in the freezer. I didn’t have mozzarella either, but I did have 2 creamy cheese triangles which I sliced up. I think mostly I followed the rest of the recipe. It’s in the freezer now.

Then I more or less waited for the paint to be delivered .

No paint arrived even though theoretically there was an attempt to deliver it at 3.17pm. Strangely, the post office knows where I am when there is a bill to be delivered.

I decided to attempt to contact the post office online which was when I discovered my health card is missing.

At one time I would have been very upset and worried. That’s when being on my own really feels scary.

However I know someone to ask for help if I need a replacement.

I might have left it in the farmacia…..which is now closed for holidays!

I looked for my passport, ID card and bank cards….phew..all present and correct.

It’s not been a good few days for deliveries. One package still waiting in far away bar and 2 somewhere in the postal system.

Pizza again tonight as it’s someone’s birthday.

I found these photos from 2016 in Potenza when a group of artists painted on panels in a street. I used to pass them on the way home from the hospital after visiting James and I think someone told me recently that they are still there. It was a fun experience.

It’s windy outside so it’ll be a nice exhilarating walk to La Lanterna.
