2023 in Pisticci, figs, sewing, door repair and a little painting……

I was unnecessarily worried about eating too many figs last night.

This morning after googling an easy thing to do with figs I put them on a tray in the oven and sprinkled them with cinnamon and rosemary. I think maybe I should have left them longer to cook, but my gas oven is a law unto itself.

They are now in a jar in the fridge . There is a lovely smell of cinnamon.

After that I remembered to cancel my premium youtube subscription.

My son phoned.

A friend dropped in.

I watched an episode of Portrait Artist of the Year.

After lunch I decided to convert a dress into a skirt. Surprisingly it went relatively well. I think it’ll be more useful as a skirt.

Then a kind neighbour with a power tool fixed the lock on my door which had previously fallen off.

There is a lot wrong with my door, but it opens and shuts and fixing one bit would likely lead to having to fix something else. Opening a can of worms comes to mind.

I spent a while working on the last local scene. It’s about 80% finished now.

Then it was watering flowers time.

Now it’s wine time and tonight I just want to chill.

Cheers🍷🍷
