2023 in Pisticci…a pleasant walk to the supermarket ……

I was actually trying to avoid the steps up past L’Incontro. I strongly dislike these steps. It could be that they are the wrong size for my legs, but I’ve seen other people struggle too.

So I turned off and walked up even more steps which for some reason didn’t feel nearly as hard work.

Nearly at the top. There are about a dozen more steps round a corner.

It was a lovely morning and as I’m thinking about another project I took lots of photos.

A nice little door
Possible painting
Nice paving
Street below the church
I like the old stone walls
Looking down into Dirupo
Looking up to Terrevecchia
Looking towards the mountains ( and my house)
The street leading to chiesa madre.
Nearly into Piazza San Rocco

When I got home I had a request for another pencil portrait.

I’m well on with it now and plan to finish it on Monday.

Then I have a painted portrait to work on.

It’s good to have a plan for the week.

I don’t know what I want to do for a Sunday painting yet.

It’s time to start looking at autumn clothes, though mostly there are just 2 seasons here. Summer and winter. I think that’s why I have quite a lot of unused clothes in my wardrobe as there is very little time between cold and hot.

I’ll need to wait until next week to see what to wear for my week in Cortona . It’s been vest, light trousers and sandals since June here.

Wine time now.

There was supposed to be a concert on in town tonight, but it’s been raining….and storms are forecast. So I may be staying home.

Cheers🍷🍷
