I turned on the twinkly lights.

I like December. It’s  a month of nice little things. Twinkly lights, mulled wine, chocolate treats, excuses to do special things, giving gifts, getting gifts, shortbread, Christmas decorations,  feeling holidayish and lots more.

Today I worked all day and painted nine eyes plus several mouths , a couple of noses and practically all of a rabbit. I’m quite satisfied how things are going so far. I also redrew 1 portrait and moved it about 4cms up on the canvas.

I don’t always succeed in doing as much as I think I should in a day. I required quite a lot of peanut butter energy and several coffees.

It’s a good feeling having done as much work. I think I can now have the weekend off and still have plenty of time to finish the portraits well before Christmas.

I’m waiting for a friend to arrive now. Drinking wine and chatting on a Friday evening seems a pleasant way to start the weekend.
