2023 in Pisticci…..made glugg……

I reckon that spelling it wrong is probably  appropriate as it’s not a lot like the recipe anyways.

This is the recipe….or one of them…. which I found online.

Firstly , I didn’t have port wine…whatever that is….but I did have 2 litres of cheap supermarket  wine.

And I did have a little bottle of something that must be a kind of glugg essence.

I’ve made it before .

I found half a bag of sultanas, cut up an orange, dropped in a hunk of ginger and sprinkled some cinnamon. Finally I tipped in some sugar just to be on the safe side.

Next step was to heat it all up in a pot until it was nearly boiling, but not quite.

After that I left it to cool.

I didn’t put the oranges and ginger in a muslin bag. I poured it all through a sieve. ( I’ve kept the sultanas as they are delicious. )

Now it’s in 2 bottles .

I passed on setting it on fire!

Finally I’m drinking it . It’s good. Very spicy and not too sweet.

It tastes better in a mug.

I haven’t done a lot today.

Shopping, photographing paintings for my sale and painted a canvas green.

Had to fix this painting as there was too much black in it.
I’m not sure this was a good idea, but I have a lot of green paint. No idea what I can paint on it.

Now it’s time to relax and find something not too gruesome to watch on Netflix.
