It was the feste of the Immacolata. ( and the white night…not sure what that was about.)
I went up to the little church above me to see what was happening.

Having seen the procession leave I thought that I’d take a walk up town and see what was happening .
There were musicians in the piazza San rocco, then at the little view point and also in the piazza Umberto.

There were also dancers in the comune and a small orchestra with a singer in another place. ( I only knew about the last one from Facebook. )
Lots of people were out and about. Wine and chestnuts were being served up by the church.
This is only the first of several events.
I’m looking forward to the ” living nativity”.on the 23d.
Today I went out and bought wine as well as having a coffee.

Most of the rest of the morning was spent watching another vlog from Titus Meeuws. He’s a Dutch artist I find interesting, helpful and very unpretentious.
This afternoon I made Christmas dinner. My plan was to make parmigiano di melanzane and freeze it. So it’s done.

As usual I slightly adapted the recipe to suit the ingredients I had. There were 2 bags of grated pecorino in the freezer.
Now it’s dark and I’m looking forward to going outside and turning on my decorative lights.
No need to worry that I’ll run out of wine now.
Cheers π·π·
