After starting a local scene yesterday I thought I’d like to finish it.

I’m not sure if I’ve lost the place with painting or I’m in a state of change. Hopefully it’s the second …..

I didn’t feel like this about the hares.

However it’s likely just a stage I’m going through.

I finished the first painting about 11am and went straight on to the second one.

Today I was entertained by Agatha Christie’s ” After the Funeral”.

I finished about 3.30pm.

I liked the shapes in this scene and the little bit of light.

It was fun trying to get the colours to go together.

Despite starting with completely different undercoats both paintings look the same. Curious!

I was thinking that it would be interesting to put people in my scenes. But I want real people….not just made up ones. Which means I need to take photos and maybe actually ask people to pose……..

Scary stuff…..

Now it’s wine time. It gets a bit chilly around 4pm even with the gas heater on , so I’m glad to be able to use the pellet stove.

Tomorrow I should finish the double portrait .
