2024 in Pisticci….been for another walk with my camera…..

I was tired today.

There was only one thing written in my diary. That was to update my work diary.

That led to me buying a new printer. I will not be sorry to see the “evil” printer go.It was a beast!

It will probably sit up on the shelf in the work room along with the other old printer from years ago until I remember to arrange for its removal.

( feeling nostalgic for big bins where everything could be disposed of…)

I’ve ordered another one, slightly different, but uses the same ink .

So my work diary will need to wait.

While watching Portrait Artist of the Year I saw an advert for an online Portrait course with Jonathon Yeo.

During lockdown his videos on YouTube were the highlight of my week as he painted and chatted to his subjects using zoom. It wasn’t just the painting ,but the conversations which were fascinating. I can’t remember the names of all the people he painted except for Jamie Oliver. But they were all interesting people who chatted about life and stuff making it much more than just watching a portrait being painted.

I ordered the course.

I’ve already watched the first video and read some of the book which goes with it.

It seemed like a good idea to get some fresh air….and camera practice after that so I went for a wander around Dirupo.

A street I’m not often in.
I love the stone walls
I’ve painted this view several times.

This week I should be busy. For starters there are all the things I put off doing last week……

But now it’s wine time.

Cheers🍷🍷
