Out for breakfast again. This time I went to Gloagburn farm and had a vegetarian breakfast. There were a lot of mushrooms included which I liked.

It was also fun to chat to my son again , inside, while the rain poured down outside.

However it was dry again by the time I got dropped off in town.

Then I bought ” Swallows and Amazons” by Arthur Ransome to give to my grandson, who reads….but might not enjoy it after reading more modern books. Pure sentimentality on my part . I loved it and read all the others in the series too.

Back home I was feeling a bit lost. To fix that I knew I needed to paint something. Only I hadn’t been able to think of anything.

Then I thought, ” what do I love most?”

The water soluble oil pastels are lovely to work with . And I feel much better.

Then the sun came out.

Wine time now.
