It started by watching Titus Meeuws latest vlog where he and another artist chat while painting each other’s portrait. I enjoyed that very much.
This morning I had eggs and asparagus for breakfast. I was determined not to let the asparagus moulder forgotten in the fridge which is what often happens to fresh vegetables I have bought.
Then it was time to do a recce to the bus station in preparation for my trip to Sapri.
It took me only 15 minutes to walk there counting a stop to take photos.

I needed to buy a ticket and check the time of the bus to the railway station. It’s a good thing I did as it was 15 minutes earlier than I thought. The nice girl in the bar kindly took a photo of the times for me.
Then someone I knew slightly who happened to be in the bar asked me if I could do a portrait for him. I get a surprising amount of work in this manner.
By the time I’d walked back up the hill into town I needed a coffee.

Walking through the piazza I was offered another coffee.
I stopped by the flower shop as I saw pansies. My neighbour paused the say how beautiful the flowers were.
So I bought 3 pansy plants. They’re now planted in the pots near my door. It’s possible that they aren’t actually pansies, but I’ll always think of them like that.

After lunch I painted asparagus. Am not convinced that it was a good idea.

And now having watched a programme with Andrew Marr about Rembrandt where he was rich and famous and then died penniless and forgotten only to be rediscovered a long time afterwards….
I might just enjoy my little fantasy about what might happen to my paintings when I’m no longer here. Although extremely unlikely that anything will happen ………it’s fun to dream.
Wine time now. The stove is burning loudly in the corner. It’s that time of year when it’s warmer outside than inside.
Cheers🍷🍷
