I’ve been thinking about how the trip went and if it’s  what I want to do again. I’m trying to write this before I forget how I felt.

Starting with the negatives.

I nearly missed the train because I got the wrong info about the timetable.

I suppose I can fix that for next time.

Then I got lost trying to find the airbnb. ( being lost is not a good feeling.) Being able to get help due to portraying helplessness is not a skill I really want to use too often.

Maybe I could make a better map, get a taxi or get the host to meet me at the railway station.

I couldn’t open the gate, every time, to get out of the airbnb garden. Felt like a helpless idiot.

Maybe it was a rubbish catch?

I didn’t go out for lunch because I was  too shy to go in anywhere by myself.

So maybe I don’t need to. It’s  not like I starved. I did buy an ice cream.

On the plus side I found the route to the station by myself the second time and the way to the beach and back.

I found the art shop and chatted to the owner.

I took some great photos and walked much more than usual.

I like being by the sea.

I made a good choice to go to Sapri.

The airbnb was perfect for me. ( apart from the gate)

I enjoyed the trip home on the slow train. The scenery was beautiful. 

I did one sketch  and decided that I’ll use my water based oils to paint from some of the best photos.

The biggest worst bit was getting lost. It’s not the first time it’s  happened.  The second was not being able to open the gate.

On balance I think I should do it again.  But I need to not get lost.

So after this time I think I might chose a relatively  small place again. Maybe by the sea. I  could try the other coast…………

I’m so happy to be home.

Tomorrow I think that I’ll download  some photos from my camera.

But now a glass of wine and relaxing in my comfy chair is all I want.
