2024 in Pisticci  ….a good day to be portrait painting.

It’s been cold, wet, windy and foggy today.

For the first time this winter I lit pellet stove in the morning. Then I turned it off after 2 hours as it was too hot.

If I carry on like this I will have enough pellets left for next year as I’ve been very happy to just use it in the evenings.

It suits me to use the portable gas heater during the day if necessary.

Tomorrow  the weather is to be better and then over the weekend the average temperature  is to be above 20C. ( and sunny)

So most of today I’ve worked on a full length couple portrait where the faces are quite small. But it’s  looking quite respectable  so far. I’d like to be finished by Thursday so that I can paint what I like over the weekend.

Despite the horrible weather the pink tree growing out of the drain is looking beautiful.

Looking out over the valley
Castle in the mist.

Now it’s wine time.

I might stay  home all day tomorrow again and get the portraits finished. If I go out it’s harder to get started.

Will see……

Cheers🍷🍷
