I often think that I rush into things…..so booking an Airbnb in Trani and a return train journey while I was in bed and couldn’t sleep shouldn’t really surprise me.

I found an Airbnb in the historical part of town. It looks nicely old.

Still couldn’t sleep, so I’ve now booked my next trip to Scotland near the end of May. My plan is that on the way back in June I’ll fly to Naples, stay overnight there and then head north for a few days. I haven’t decided where to go yet.
If all goes according to plan then I might go somewhere in Basilicata at the end of July, which will likely be the most expensive time of year. So far I’m keeping to €150 euros for accommodation and travel. It could be done for less, but I don’t want to share and I want my own bathroom.
So despite my sleepless night this morning I got on with the portrait which is now 80% done.
I had to go shopping just to get out of the house after lunch.
It’s been dull again today , but not cold.
I’m looking forward to having coffee on the doorstep again .

My painting set up is left up as I’d really like to finish this portrait and the previous one tomorrow morning. They are both quite complicated with a lot of detail.

I think the sunshine should be back for the weekend. Hurray!
Wine and blues time now.
Cheers🍷🍷
