2024 in Pisticci….painted hens and a still life……

It looks like the lovely weather may be taking a break this week.

Today I enjoyed myself adding more flowers and 2 hens to 3 more paintings. 

I think they look like they are having a chat. Possibly about where to go as they have escaped from the hen shed.
Didn’t do much to this as it was already colourful.
This may eventually get painted over as it might be a nice collection of shapes , but I don’t think even plants make it commercial.

After lunch I thought I’d paint a still life with the W.S.oil pastels and paint.

Charcoal  drawing.
Pastels,  after I had brushed over them with a wet paintbrush.
Finished after using the W.S.oil paint.

There was only one problem. I hadn’t realised that the frame would cover about an inch of the painting all around and it doesn’t  look good. So I’m going to have to  make a frame and slightly adjust the painting.

Then I’ll need to cut a new canvas board to fit the original frame. And be more careful next time.

After art lesson I’m late with wine time.
