I hadn’t  planned to go out today as it was supposed to rain all day.

After some editing I was going to stay home and paint.

However, the courier phoned and rather than have him leave my parcel at the farthest away bar in town I arranged to meet him in Piazza San Rocco.

On the way there a lady who has a shop nearby stopped me and offered me a great deal on cornettos. I couldn’t stop as I didn’t want to miss the courier.

By the time he arrived I was frozen.

Shivering, I duly bought the ice cream on the way home and then rushed on to get warmed up.

It was apparently 9C in the Corsa so after nearly 30C last week it was no wonder I was cold.

But, now I have a big selection of water soluble oil paints. I must be liking them after all.

As it was cold I kept finding reasons to stay in the warm side of my house.

First I checked that my WIFI bill was paid and had to send a photo of the receipt to prove it.

Then I thought I’d check where my Airbnb in Trani was in relation to the railway station. That took some time. But it is only a 15 minute walk and I have two hours to find it. Thanks to Google maps I have a photo of the door. I’m not very good at using this app.

By then I had to make lunch .

Feeling determined  I decided to paint after lunch, but I’ve been using the gas heater as  table to set my still lives on and it was in use as a heater.

I spent the next 2 hours moving things around and trying to give myself more storage, which I partially achieved,  but still came to the conclusion that I need a small table.

I considered using my old stool on wheels , but decided that wouldn’t work so I took it to bits as far as I was able and wrapped it in a quilt I’m throwing out. Now it’s out at the bins.

I can see some blue sky  out of the window. I think that’s the rain finished for now.

Next week it’s  mostly to be dry.

I’m waiting for a friend to arrive.

Might have a glass of wine while I wait.
