Having checked out Pietrapertosa and discovered that the place I wanted to stay was not available  any more I decided that I’d look at other villages in Basilicata.   

It all came down to buses.

It looks like I can get 2 buses to Oliveto from Pisticci. So, as transport costs would be minimal I’m booked for 3 nights instead of two.

It looks exactly what I wanted . There are apparently about 400 inhabitants, some grocery shops, butcher etc and great views.

My host sent me a lovely message. I’ll be taking canvases and paint and can’t wait.

All this deciding and chosing happened after going to bed. I think  I have the idea that I should spend days researching and checking things, but I chose Sapri on a whim as well and that was a great success. 

Today I painted the last commission for now..

I looked at my photos of Trani taken with my camera , but chose 2 photos from my phone to paint.

The gas fire is on tonight. It was 16C in my house. It’s warmer outside.

Wine time now.
