Which will be painting 2 scenes from the port in Trani. It looks as if it might be a lot of work. So far I’ve very roughly drawn things in place. Tomorrow I’d like to do a more accurate sketch, before I start painting.

I’ll be using acrylic paint.
It’s been interesting using water soluble oil paints. I imagined that I would find oil paints much better than acrylics.
I’ve come to the conclusion that, for me, they are just different.
I’ll keep using both depending on what I’m painting, but am not planning to become an oil painter.

The roses in the acrylic painting are the most similar to the real ones. But the oil painted ones are pretty in a different way.
My new hog bristle oil painting brushes arrived today. I wonder if they will make a difference.
It’s great to have the freedom to experiment.
I finished editing my book today and have managed to find where it’s downloaded on my laptop. It’s now as good as I can manage. Next step is to get it on Amazon. Hopefully before I go to Scotland.
I’ve been getting up at 6am for the last few weeks, making a ginseng coffee, and then spending an hour or two sorting it out.
If it doesn’t rain I might be going to Scanzano market tomorrow.
I found this old painting done while on a project in Tursi several years ago. I started it in situ. ( haven’t taken any scenic photos today)

Wine time now.
Cheers🍷🍷
