I’m trying to keep up my “steps”. When I was on holiday I walked lots.

So today I invented a reason to go to the supermarket.

My shoes were a success. I walked comfortably  all the way to the pizzeria last night. I don’t think I expected them to feel okay.

My children reminded me that my dad used to cut the ends off his shoes sometimes as he had really big feet. ( size 13 in old measurements) .I felt quite sentimental after hearing that.

So this morning I fixed dresses. I bought several from the secondhand stall at Scanzano market and they needed adjusting. I’m planning to be an artist wearing a dress this summer.

This afternoon  I  started painting again using my new brushes.

I think that I’ll paint most of tomorrow as I’d like to get the face in the portrait finished. After that I can relax.

My new more blowy fan arrived this afternoon. Just in time for the heatwave. It seems to work well.

Now I’m glad to have a glass of wine and relax.
