I’m so enjoying using my new paintbrushes. I must take care of them and not ruin them as I often do. They were a birthday present to myself.
It’s so satisfying to use a brush which does what I want it to do.
The portrait, which is a 70x50cm of a child is looking good so far.
I spent most of today working on it and listening to a “Poirot” audiobook not written by Agatha Christie.
It’s been about 40c today.
Inside I’m quite comfortable. I’ve got 3 fans, though I only use one at a time. My new one is very satisfactory. By the end of the summer the walls of my house will have heated up and it’ll be more difficult to stay cool.
After some serious watering my flowers are looking fairly respectable.

It looks very hazy right now. Next week some days it’ll be 28C. That’s 12c less…if my arithmetic is correct.

I’ve ordered some silver metallic paint as it looks like my cooker will be turning red in the near future. I saw a photo of one, red with silver metallic accents. As I don’t much like cooking I wouldn’t consider buying a real red one, but painting it so that I have something cool to look at seems quite sensible.
Now it’s wine time.
Hair dyeing and more portrait painting tomorrow I think.
Cheers🍷🍷
