I forgot to register to vote and I’ve been feeling a bit uncomfortable about that. So when I woke up this morning and found out that the person I would have voted for was one of the few remaining SNP MPs and had a majority of about 4000 I felt a lot better.
Maybe it was inevitable that the SNP had such a disastrous result. It’s not as if it will make any difference in parliament as now Labour have such a big majority they can do what they like. And previously it was much the same with the conservatives.
So now labour have some time to prove that they are going to be good for Scotland. ( 🤔)
And the SNP have the time between now and the next Scottish elections to get sorted. By then the Scots will have been able to see how the conservatives treated Scotland and also if Labour is any different.
From my point of view I may have to return to Scotland some time in the distant future ( who knows what the future holds) and I was kind of hoping that I’d return to a new exciting country just starting to see how much potential there was . I think that would be good….even if I was quite old. And my grandchildren might have all sorts of new opportunities. It might be amazing.
Sigh!!!!
Anyways here in sunny Pisticci life is very satisfactory.
I went out and bought oil for my doors as I thought it would be nice to go out and in without the whole street hearing me. It’s worked.
I put the house number on the house painting and tidied up the door, then signed it.
Made lunch for 4 days.
My new portable easel arrived. I might take it on my little trips. It’s much more substantial than I expected.

Then I varnished all my little oil paintings I finished earlier. Tomorrow I’ll put them in frames.

I even made time to sort out my recycling box as it was so full I couldn’t get anything else in it.
Perhaps this week the bin men will deign to take some of it away. This week for no apparent reason they didn’t take the organic or the indifferent.
(I am apt to be found cheering when I hear the sound of my bins being emptied. )
Am glad it’s the weekend.
And wine time.
Cheers🍷🍷
