This morning I finished the portrait  …..and then I finished it again and again all afternoon…..until I signed it and sent a photo to the client.

It is now in a cardboard box, which I just happened to find down behind some big canvases , and looks very businesslike. 

I am delivering it in an hour or so.

Then I’m FREE!

In between finishing the portrait I tried to find some buses for my next trip. ( next week) It was so very frustrating. I don’t even know what the bus station is called in Pisticci. There are 3 different places to leave from and I only know Pisticci Scalo  for definite. That is also where the railway station is. It occurred  to me to look and see if trains stopped at Grassano scalo. ( Grassano town is on top of the mountain. Scalo is in the valley. )  I might be able to get a lift from Grassano. So I’m planning to get a train.

Living here with no transport is either very limiting or needs kind friends. The problem is getting from Pisticci  town to Pisticci scalo. It’s about 4km.  Once at Pisticci scalo it’s possible to travel all over the world. But to get there……aaaaagh!!!!

However it’s as well I didn’t buy bus tickets after all.

I went shopping this afternoon wearing my cut off sandals as a friend assured me that no one would notice. I’m not so sure , but my cut out trainers are a bit hot. There weren’t a lot of people around to check out my feet.

I’ve been watching a lot of ” Money for Nothing” programmes on YouTube and have an idea for a chest of drawers in my other room. It isn’t an antique and it was also in a fire and got partly burned,  then restored by James.

I’m also considering an upgrade on the cooker.

But now I’d better go and get changed to go out. I’m not wearing my cut off sandals in the corsa.
