After another sleepless night I got up in a relatively cheerful mood.

It wasn’t directly the heat keeping me awake, though positioning the fan in just the right place took several tries. It has been years since I slept all night.

I managed to find another excuse not to go out……” there’s  always tomorrow”.

But today has been easier , and the temperature is heading downwards.

As a bonus I just checked the temperature in  oliveto lucano and it’s several degrees lower. Hurray!

I popped outside briefly and cut some oleander flowers.

It feels good to have completed 4 small paintings this weekend.

After lunch I got out a needle and thread and adjusted one of the cotton tops I bought yesterday. I’m quite impressed with my confidence in casually buying something , thinking that I’ll make it fit.

Later on as I was admiring the oleanders I thought that I might as well try out watercolours in my new sketchbook.

Tomorrow I should get organised ……except I pretty much am. 

The storm which I thought was happening on Saturday and then today is now due on Monday afternoon.
