I was thinking as I got all set up to draw another scene from Oliveto Lucano  with my  new desk, serious lighting and tablet holder, that when I was staying in Oliveto I had 2 pencils and my tablet propped up against a fruit bowl. To be honest it was a little dark, but I managed. ( taking my new little battery charged work- light next time.)

It was good to have my very comfy twirly chair though. And another Agatha Christie audiobook keeping me company. And a fan. Oh, and hairspray to set the drawing.

It’s my favourite scene that I’ve drawn . I hope I can make a good painting out of it.

Then I thought that I’d better paint a poppy as I need the practice. Not only drawing, but what colours to use. It’s not as much fun using a photo for this ,but there are no poppies around right now.

All my other little gift paintings of fruit, flowers and vegetables etc were painted from life.

This seems to be the hottest time of day.  It’s still very warm outside 

I was thinking of going for a walk , but not just now. ( nearly 6pm) And I probably won’t later on…….I think I’m more of a morning person.

Tomorrow  I must go out.

I think I might start painting the new drawing.

However it’s wine time now.
