I was walking home tonight  through Dirupo and feeling so happy about living here. Especially in the summer when in the evenings people sit outside.

I know, at least by sight most of the people who live here and I think they all know me, being the only foreigner.

Just before I got to my house I greeted a other group of people and got given a cake. It was someone’s  birthday.

I love living here.

This morning when I went to the supermarket one of the assistants was singing and there was a whole lot of greeting going on.

I’ve been out in the country with a friend sitting in her gorgeous garden drinking wine and chatting and accompanied by music from Simon and garfunkel coming from somewhere in the valley. Slightly surreal. 

And as if that wasn’t enough , I more or less finished another painting.

Now I need to eat something.
