Just after lunch I got a very off and on phone call from the Amazon courier. As in I missed large parts of the conversation  . But I understood that I would meet him in the piazza la salsa in half an hour. He would be delivering a portable air conditioner.

The post office were supposed to be delivering new canvas boards around the same time.

I got organised with my granny trolley minus the bag as I thought that would be sensible.

It was very hot. I waited for about 20 minutes at the piazza then I came home. I had tried to phone 3 times.

I had just decided that my air conditioner  was probably now on its way back to wherever it had come from , when there was a knock at the door and there it was .

It is very heavy . There was no way my granny trolley would have been able to carry it. I’m so glad I  gave up and came home. ( sensible decision. )

All excited, and relieved that I hadn’t had to try to carry it home, I opened the box.

It was supposed to be a portable aircon. ( there was one in the apartment  in Meta)

So what was the hose for……

I got out the instructions…..pages and pages of technical words and pictures of a hose going out a window.

I don’t have any windows .( only glass in my doors)

I wondered if I could sell it on ebay. I have noticed before that when stressed my brain closes down.

So first thing to do was to hide it.

The only place possible was in the corner where the recycling is kept. It  took me about half an hour to organise the recycling somewhere else, but as I was doing it , it occurred to me that right beside that space there was a hole which went through the wall and had a little door on it to be used as a post box. It wasn’t precisely  a window,  but it was open to the outside.

Later on after my canvas boards arrived and I’d had a short siesta, I looked at the instructions again and they were all about attaching the hose and several things were not applicable. Mmmmm! Maybe not so bad.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll have another look at what I need to do. But I won’t be having aircon tonight.

My new glasses arrived, which is pretty good as it is August. They are much the same as the old ones , but a little bit bigger.

Obviously  I didn’t have time to paint today, but tomorrow I can start the big flowery landscape.

It’s been a busy day ….there was more . I have been up and down and back and forward in town 4 times so far. I was going to go to the first night of the lucania film festival, but I will see how I feel at 9pm.

I might well be sitting outside like last night.
