I think this has been the hottest summer since I’ve lived here. This might not be true, but it’s been the most problematic. It might also be an age thing . Maybe my cooling system doesn’t work as well as it used to.

However after chatting to my daughter this morning I decided that I’d move my (portable) airconditioner into the hotter part of the  house and stick the hose out the door. I  googled this. So I more or less knew what I was doing.

Wonderful. 

Obviously I won’t leave it in position  overnight as I need to shut the door. 

The other, cooler, part of my house is okay overnight with a fan. Though I could move the thing back if I wanted to.

It will do for the next 2 or 3 weeks and then I shouldn’t need it any more until next summer.

In between watching several episodes of “Money for Nothing” I did some painting.

Not as much as I had hoped , but I made some progress.

Hopefully I can get it to 80% by tomorrow  afternoon.  It would be fun to paint some feste Pisticci  paintings next week …..or just be on holiday.

I have kindle unlimited  so I don’t normally buy books, but as a treat I bought one set in Bologna today.

I’ve decided that I will stay in tonight. Last night I went out about 8.30pm and was back by 9.15pm. Nothing happens here until nearer midnight. Will try harder tomorrow. 

Am watching a series on Netflix ( with subtitles) called ” the forest”. It’s interesting. 

Lots of bell ringing happening. This is the big holiday week coming up.
