And it was a bit grey outside. I was going to go out , but have postponed it until tomorrow……

It will be time to get organised to go to Oliveto.

So after I spent about 2 hours finishing  my latest painting I started to think about what I would do when I was away.

I have a  large pile of art stuff lying on my table now.

There’s  no doubt I’ve been influenced by Sandi Hester videos on YouTube, even though I couldn’t paint in the same style she does. She’s  so friendly and funny that I could probably watch her even if I didn’t paint.

I’m learning a lot about sketchbooks and using all sorts of paints and crayons.

I tried out my new little rechargeable  light.

My plans while I’m in Oliveto are to find at least 2 new subjects to paint and maybe draw them.  I’d like to sit in the park and paint something in my sketchbook too.

Having been bothered with the composition  of the previous painting I bravely added a lady in a yellow dress to it……and then painted over her. At least I tried.

I haven’t needed aircon today.

It looks like the temperature  will be around 30C in Oliveto. Perfect.

Now I need to decide whether to water the flowers, as it rained a little today and there is a storm forecast for tonight.

I think the Netflix series ( Trapped) set in a snowstorm in Iceland is nearly finished. I’m sure it made me feel cooler. I won’t be watching anything set in the desert just yet.
