2024 in Pisticci  ..a collection of nice things …..

I went off to the Meetmarket to buy white gouache and anything else I didn’t know I needed.

On the way across the piazza the fruit seller called to me. He’d seen the painting which he was in and would like a photo of us with it. Why not?

After the meetmarket I went by the supermarket and bought some food to take on holiday for emergencies.( don’t ask!)

On the way back towards the Piazza the guy on the scooter in the painting stopped, on his scooter, and said he’d like to buy it. Cool! I love how life is just like that in Pisticci.

In the meantime I was arranging to go for 5 days to Oliveto. I’m not quite sure how it happened, but it must be meant .

So I went smiling home , signed the painting and set off again.

First to the piazza where some photos were taken.

I had no idea that my top was so transparent.
Pleased to be in my painting I think.

Then I delivered it to the new owner.

Next I spent much more time arranging the art stuff I will take with me than my clothes.

In-between I more or less arranged to paint 2 very big paintings for someone. ( 120x120cm)

There has been some interesting  weather since last night.

Beautiful grey sky.

Last night there was a lightening storm. ( I was going to upload a video, but I can’t…..nor can I get rid of the thing with Add Video written on it. Considering I just paid a yearly subscription  to WordPress today am a bit fed up. I need to learn more tech stuff.

The storm was pretty exciting anyways.

As I’m supposed to be practicing in my sketch book to get me in the mood and to experiment , I found a photo of a painting of a lady in a black hat and copied it. I’ve always liked this painting. I used watercolours. Which I’m not very experienced  with.

Pleased with this.

Now it looks all blue and cheerful outside, which  is good , as I’ll be walking to the pizzeria in an hour or so.

Tomorrow I should get the train to Grassano about 1.30pm and then am being collected by my hosts before going up the windy road through the forests and valleys and up the mountain to Oliveto.

Cheers🍷🍷
