I had quite an exciting evening yesterday. Two potential paintings were sold and I’m probably going to have a small exhibition in Oliveto before Christmas……so I’m planning to return in October.
I also went for a walk and found more views.

This morning I was up early and was driven to Grassano down the windy, windy road. It’s necessary to be relaxed as there is hardly any straight road at all so slow is how it has to be. However there is plenty time to enjoy the lovely views.

It was only half an hour to Pisticci scalo where I was collected by my heroic friend.
After a slight, ” Italian thing” I was home by 9.30am.

I was tired.
However I did lots of little things.
Firstly, I think I’ve paid my electric bill with the new company on the app I downloaded, which , if its right means I sorted it all out by myself which is very satisfying.
As the bill wasn’t particularly big I’ve had my portable air conditioner on almost all day. ( it’s been about 35C)
Then I decided that sleeveless tops are not flattering any more. I wondered if I could make sleeves and attach them…..so I found the bags of clothes I mean to throw out when I can and found some suitable material as well as a couple of tops with long sleeves which I could cut off.

After that I ordered some watercolour brush pens to use with acrylic paint and in my sketchbook.
And some new acrylic paints to use in the next 2 paintings.
Finally I decided my living room rug was looking a bit shabby and wondered if I should buy a new one. Compromised by ordering carpet cleaner and 2 cheap throws for the chairs.
My house was looking a bit scruffy after having been away.
I was just going to write this when Fluffy arrived. The aircon hose sticks out the door so she just climbs over it and wanders in. She seemed pleased to see me. As I was to see her.

Now I think I’ll have some more Icelandic mystery on Netflix. The snow and cold weather is quite refreshing.
Cheers 🍷🍷
