I was going to spend this weekend doing a sort of late spring cleaning, but I’ve actually done a bit here and a bit there during the week, and so ….it was never going to happen……
By 8am I had hung out two loads of washing . All my summer clothes and then chair covers etc. ( and that was the ” spring cleaning”)

After a trip to the supermarket where I found sweet potatoes, ( hurray!!!) and ice lollies, I decided to get on with the portrait I drew yesterday. There are two adults and a baby.
Most of today that is what I did. It went quite well…apart from the teeth. Nightmare!!
Anyways my thinking is that I will finish it by Monday and then play with my new sketchbooks all week so that I know what I’m doing and hopefully carry on in Scotland.
Although I hope to spend time with friends and family , painting or drawing makes me feel grounded.
I thought that I’d take a couple of photos of my ” garden” as one photo in a post doesn’t feel enough.

I am still watching videos by Sandi Hester. I like the way she used to paint, but as she says, if she doesn’t enjoy it , then why carry on. She is so funny and friendly that I would probably watch her even if I didn’t paint. And she is inspiring me to use my , normally unused, sketchbooks.
My other inspiration at the minute is coming from ” Money for Nothing ” and have been watching at least 2 episodes every day. I’m constantly amazed at what can be made and sold.
Sadly, the Icelandic series on Netflix is finished . I find it difficult to choose what to watch. Maybe I’ll try a Korean drama …..
Cheers 🍷🍷
