Felt a little off today. Probably pre travel nerves. In my head I’m quite relaxed and have done this trip lots of times before….unfortunately my stomach doesn’t believe my head and insists on tying itself in knots. I’m ignoring it.
I thought that I’d better get out for some exercise and socialising. So I went to the supermarket. This time I talked to a different girl at the till and got a smile. I forget that people think I can’t speak Italian so don’t chat. Lots of times I’ve started a conversation and it’s been lovely.
Having been a timid person I am awfully impressed with myself when I start conversations in Italian.
I took photos…..

The portrait is finished…..or it was until I walked past it just now and thought….that bit needs fixed . It’s going tomorrow, before I overdo it.
In between checking in online and booking bus tickets I’ve been watching more Sandi Hester videos. She is just so cheerful.
So eventually this afternoon I thought I should try doing something in my sketch book inspired by her.

The postman delivered two packs of white acrylic markers. Very useful equipment.
Then quite by chance I looked in my post box and there was a box in it. The postman hardly ever puts anything in it.
So I now have a large sketchbook with very thick paper, more brush pens , more acrylic paint and a tin of satin varnish.
The shower room floor and toilet seat are now looking clean and shiny. I think it’s now about 5 years since I originally painted the floor. It has lasted well. The satin varnish seems to dry really quickly , and as it’s water based the brushes are easily cleaned.
( and not left in a jar of white spirit until they are past using and I throw them out.)
Tomorrow the gas man should be delivering more gas, my two Oliveto paintings are being collected and it’s pizza night.
Now it’s wine time. Am watching the girl from Oslo on Netflix. (I googled the ending as I don’t really like suspense.)
Cheers 🍷🍷
