This has been the best trip home I’ve had in ages.

Last night I loved being in the airbnb. Sitting on the little terrace  looking at the moon and listening to the sea was perfect.

And I slept well.

This morning I could see the sea as well as hear it.

As soon as I could I thought that I’d head for the port if I could find it…..I didn’t realise it was so near.

I’ve discovered that I love some boats. I like the age and wear of fishing boats and the colours of the small boats. I’m not so bothered about the others.

I just had to take a photo of this guy. I thought at first he was a sculpture.

This morning it  was possible to see the street where I was staying.

After a trip ( less than 15mins) back to the airport I caught the airport bus which goes via Matera and then towards Pisticci. 

I got off at Ferrandina a whole 25 minutes early. There was nobody around so I spent some time considering the end of the world.

I’ve been home since about 4pm. Fluffy was waiting for me!

It’s 24C inside.  It was 30C when I left.

Tomorrow  I need to write a good review for the airbnb and organise the work I need to do. There is a lot……

However it’s wine time now.
