2024 in Pisticci….melon and coasters…….

I had it in my mind that I would go to the piazza and buy a melon from the fruit stall this morning.

It was a lovely morning and forecast to be the last hot day of summer at 30C. ( tomorrow is to be 21C).

My street has plants all the way down it now. ( Although my neighbours’ are tidy and well kept while mine are more jungle like.)
I’ve painted this corner several times.
Had some happy times when I lived here in this corner.
Must be a great view from the top of this house.

I thought that as I was feeling much better I would have a coffee.

Yummm! Have missed this.

That was when I realised that I wasn’t quite back to normal and nearly forgot to pay.

After a restoring episode of Midsomer Murders and searching for a coaster .( I don’t know where they have disappeared  to. ) It seemed like a good idea to find some clay and make some home made ones.

Air drying clay. I think it’s for children.
That was fun! I used a rolling pin and cut out the shapes with my coffee cup. It was warm in the sunshine so I left them to dry.

They could take a while to dry out , but should be fun to decorate. And I’ll enjoy using them…..until I lose them as well.

It’s possible that if I crawled around the floor looking underneath things I might find some of the lost ones, but I’m not in the right mood to be crawling about.

I made a start on another painting,  but not very enthusiastically.

It’s a start…..

It’s windy and grey outside,but 26C inside which is very nice.

Wine time now. And very likely more Midsomer Murder.
