The rain has finally stopped and this morning although it was a bit foggy and damp there was no wind either.

I was thinking about what to write today as I’ve been nicely busy , but not in a photographable way.

Mostly I’ve been working on a portrait and listening to an Agatha Raisin audiobook. 

My red shoes arrived and they’re not exactly the colour I expected. But it’s okay.

They’re also not exactly too small, but could be better. The truth is I’m fed up wearing men’s  shoes which are about an inch bigger than I need and not pretty.

There are obviously worse things in life.

However this time I checked out Google to see if there was any way of ever so slightly expanding my shoes. And it seems that there are.

One method is to put on several pairs of socks and then try to melt the shoes into a better ( longer or wider shape) using a hairdryer. I had a go at that and I think it helped a bit.

However the best way seems to be to buy a shoe stretcher thingy from Amazon. (Ordered one.) I have another pair of shoes which could also do with some help.)

Or I could fill a plastic bag with water and put it in the shoe and then freeze it. That’s not possible however as my freezer is full of left over pizza from Pizza night at the Lanterna. I can’t eat a whole pizza.

I also put elastic around the waist band of some very baggy jeans which were in danger of falling off. Baggy  in a ” fashionable ” way, not just too big.

It’ll be nice to go out tonight. I’ve got wine to buy on the way to the pizzeria so I’ll walk through the town. I don’t think I’ve been out since Thursday. 

Maybe I’ll need to wear a jacket.

Time for a small glass of wine now and an episode of ” Crooks” on Netflix  before I leave.
