After ordering the ” shoe stretchers” yesterday I was surprised and pleased when they arrived today.
I might have to paint them sometime….at least in my sketchbook, as they’re a really pleasing interesting shape.
But, it will have to wait until. I’ve finished using them.
Now my shoes are under a chair with the stretchers in them, out of sight so that I don’t keep lifting them up to see if there is any noticeable difference. I’m supposed to leave them for at least 24 hours.

I don’t know if it’s going to work, but I feel more optimistic than yesterday…..and it seems I’m not alone in needing to do this. Perhaps this will revolutionise my shoe buying. I also have one foot that is half a size bigger than the other. Maybe I could just stretch one shoe……..
Most of today I spent working on the portrait. Then I left it, and now after a gap of a few hours I can see what needs fixed tomorrow.
Finally, after another Sandi Hester video I decided that it didn’t matter what I did as long as I started something. So I painted four little gift canvases black and then painted a flower, ladybird, butterfly and a bird on them, using my own paintings as reference.

Last night I was amazed by how lovely the church now looks in the Piazza San Rocco.

It feels good to be getting back to work.
Wine time now.
Cheers🍷🍷
