Or not!

I’m pleased with what I’ve done. I don’t think I’ve ever invented a whole painting before with no plan and no reference photos and just more or less gone by instinct.

After covering the canvas with a wash of sorts to get started, I think I drew the terracotta pot first and then just filled in the spaces with whatever came to mind.

I like the colours.

Yup!! After leaving it on my easel  for weeks because I was too scared to begin….am very happy with the result.

I have another 3 canvases the same size……….

I keep thinking it’s Saturday.

This morning after watching another Sandi Hester video I ordered a book. It’s called ”  A house party in Tuscany. ” I probably wouldn’t have bought it , if it hadn’t cost less than €8. I think it’s secondhand.

Being on a roll I ordered another book called ” The creature Garden” which also was secondhand and not expensive.

Maybe I’ll paint animals for a while.

It’s been a cold cloudy day.

I’ve drawn another 4 cats.

Now the pellet stove is burning in the corner. It’s the weekend and I have a successful experiment, more cats to paint and two books to look forward to  reading.

Nice.

And wine.
